Pastor
Reverend Emily Kintzel was appointed to Niwot United Methodist Church July 1, 2020. She is a Colorado native
and grew up in The United Methodist Church.

Before becoming a pastor, she taught Elementary School for a total of 10 years. During that time Emily also began work as
Youth Director at Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont. She served in that capacity for 11 years
and it was during her time as Youth Director that she answered her call to ordained ministry.
Pastor Emily earned her Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in June of 2016. During her final year, she completed her internship by serving as the pastor of Evans United Methodist Church. After that she was appointed to Lyons Community Church and served there for four years.

Pastor Emily is excited about the many ways Niwot United Methodist Church lives out the call to make disciples of all people and takes seriously the call to love your neighbor as yourself. She looks forward to finding ways to support the congregation in its current ministries and outreach, as well as explore how we can forge new ministries together!

Scott joined us on staff at Niwot UMC in May, 2023.

For the bulk of my professional career, I was with Home State Bank out of Loveland where I helped to build our bank from one branch to 12 locations in Northern Colorado. I have also had careers in journalism, non-profits, education and private industry.
I have three 30-something children, two 20-something step-kids and three granddaughters (14, 11, and 3). My partner, Theresa, and I live across the street from the church in Country Club Estates, so I get to walk to work!!!
