A Message from the Pastor
Welcome to Niwot United Methodist Church! This is a place where people of every generation and all walks of life are not only welcome but gratefully known. In the spirit of the Christ, we don’t “tolerate,” we love. Dirt broke or wealthy, pale or naturally tan, “straight”/sideways-straight/vertical/perpendicular (L,G,B,T,Q or any etcetera) we are a safe sanctuary offering equal care and compassion to all and any. In the teachings of Jesus (Yeshua), we’re here solely to share God’s care, and to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
(Side note: the only things not invited within these doors are discrimination, hate, violence, petty judgement, toxic gossip, powerplays, and persecution. If you’re interested in doing any of that in a formal setting, there are unfortunately plenty of other organizations to choose from where one might find that kind of fulfillment.) 😉
We believe in challenging our minds and searching our souls, and would love to share that experience with you as we grow together in God and stare in awe at the beautiful wonder of the Life which made and makes us.
So come sit with us in worship! Come stand up with us for the dignity of the oppressed! Come reach out your hands with us in love and care to the world! Let’s be God’s church, together.
In God’s Peace,
Rev. Laura H.
