Nativity Story Prayer Beads

An angel (angel charm) of the Lord visited Mary (pink bead).  He told her that because of God's love (heart) for the world, she would give birth to a son (blue bead).  She would name him Jesus (white bead).  Joseph (brown bead) and Mary (pink bead) went to Bethlehem.  Mary gave birth to a son (blue bead) and put him in a manager (brown bead--different shape from the Joseph bead).

There were shepherds watching their flocks in a field (green).  An angel (angel charm) of the Lord appeared and told the shepherds to go to the manager (brown manager bead).  Three kings (three circles) followed a star (star charm) and the family gifts (fancy bead).

You will need 14 beads and three metal circles:

Two angel charms

Two pink beads (Mary)

One heart bead (God's love)

One white bead (Jesus)

One plain brown bead (Joseph)

Two blue beads (baby son)

One green bead (field)

Two brown bead (manager--different from Joseph bead)

Three metal circles (kings)

One star charm

One fancy bead (gifts)

You may want to choose a plain bead to use as a divider between the story beads.  This provides definition between the beads so that you can more easily pick out the story beads as you think of the story or pray using the prayer string.
